Carers' Information

Support to Carers is provided in the following ways:

  • On a one-to-one basis at the request of the carer, either by telephone, home-visit or a visit to the centre
  • Monthly support group held on the first Thursday of every month from 10:30am - 12:15pm
  • Assistance with Bathing the caree when needed
  • Hair and Nail care of caree when requested
  • Involvement in producing a Life-story Book with caree and day-care worker
  • Advocacy on behalf of carers with outside agencies
  • Joint training when requested
  • Facilitating meetings with specialist outside agencies on behalf of carers

We provide transport to and from home - always accompanied by our staff.

The Day-care service that we offer costs £8.50 per member per day.
