What We Do

We provide relationship-centred care for people living with the disabilites of dementia to enable them to continue as full and effective lives within the community as possible. 

Psychosocial treatments are developed and tried, dependant on individual needs: these are relatively straightforward and worked into a structured daily routine, offering a wide choice of light exercise, music, art and social interaction.
 
The Day-care service that we offer costs £8.50 per member per day. 

We provide transport to and from home - always accompanied by our staff.

Activities that take place at Seagrove include:

• Life-story Work in conjunction with Carers
  
• Gentle Exercise
  
• Hairdressing
  
• Quizzes and Games
  
• Assistance with Bathing

In addition we offer complementary health-promoting therapies which include:

• Aromatherapy
  
• Hand and Foot Massage
  
• Relaxation Techniques
  
• Facial Massage
• Head & Shoulder Massage

as well as task-orientated therapy such as:

• Cooking
  
• Gardening
  
• Artwork

If individuals become restless they also have the opportunity of walking around with one or two volunteers, dependant on the situation.
